This is what your baby wears under the carrier in the summer
The sun is finally shining and you can go outside with your baby or toddler. Very practical and stylish in the baby carrier from sandiia®. We have a few tips to make wearing a carrier more comfortable in summer.
1. Natural materials
Because our Sandiia® baby carriers are made from pure organic cotton, they have excellent ventilation, elasticity and stability. Perfect for temperatures above 26°C.
2. Less is more
Since you are wearing additional panels of fabric on your body with the baby carrier, the rest of your clothing should be comfortable, short and breathable. And that’s exactly how you dress your child. The best fabrics for hot weather are cotton and linen. Avoid thick and multi-layered clothing as well as synthetic fibers such as polyester or acrylic.
3. Water Marsh
Never forget to take a water bottle with you. For you and for your child. If you are still breastfeeding, offer your baby the breast more often so that he or she gets enough fluids. Accordingly, you have to replenish your reserves.
4. Use sunscreen
If possible, avoid direct contact with the sun and times when the sun is at its highest point. It's better to walk in the shade and stay there. Put a hat on your baby in the carrier. Preferably one with a strap so that it doesn't come off your head. The legs and arms also need to be protected from sunlight.
5. Skin to skin - better not
Avoid direct skin contact if possible. Dress your child in a thin bodysuit or use a thin cloth between you and your baby to prevent direct heat transfer.
6. Nice to carry on your back
If your child is a little older, you can carry them ideally on your back. Carrying it on your back is more comfortable and doesn't make you sweat as quickly.
We hope that you have an unforgettable summer with your child! Share with us your experiences and also pictures from your summer with the Sandiia baby carriers. We look forward to feedback!
