What is the M position?
Our baby carriers are adjustable for the little ones. This means the leg stay is adjustable with buttons. This is important to enable the anatomically correct spread-squat position.
What does squatting spread or M position actually mean?
The baby's knees are squatted towards the belly button and the bigger the baby gets, the further his legs spread apart. This means that all areas of the hip joint are evenly loaded and can develop naturally.
As soon as a newborn is picked up, it naturally assumes this posture.
Especially in the first year of life, the squatting spread posture should be taken into account, because during this period the hip joint and the acetabulum ossify.
