Introducing complementary foods made easy: potato curry for the whole family

The introduction of complementary foods is an exciting milestone for many parents. More and more families are choosing to give their babies the opportunity to eat independently from the very beginning – without puree . This method is called Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) . The baby is included in family meals from the very beginning. You can find more information here: BLW – Baby-Led Weaning .

A simple and delicious recipe that's perfect for BLW is potato curry . It's vegan, lactose-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free—and a hit with all ages!

Why is potato curry so suitable for complementary feeding?

The curry consists of a few mild ingredients and is easy to vary. Potatoes are excellently filling and can easily be cut into baby-sized pieces. The coconut milk makes the dish creamy, and the cashew butter provides valuable healthy fats.

With this recipe, babies can easily grasp the texture of the potatoes and taste it for themselves. Meanwhile, adults enjoy a flavorful, filling meal.
