This is how you carry your baby in summer!
Finally the sun is shining and you can be out and about with your baby or toddler. Very practical and stylish in the sandiia baby sling. We have a few tips ready to make wearing a scarf more comfortable in summer.
1. Natural Materials
Since our Sandiia slings are made of pure cotton or organic cotton, they have excellent ventilation, elasticity and stability. Perfect for temperatures above 26°C.
2. Less is more
Since you carry additional panels on your body with the sling, the rest of your clothing should be comfortable, short and breathable. And that's how you dress your child. The best fabrics for hot weather are cotton and linen. Avoid thick and layered clothing and synthetic fibers such as polyester or acrylic.
3. Water March
Never forget to take a water bottle with you. For you and for your child. If you are still breastfeeding, offer your baby the breast more often so that it gets enough liquids. Accordingly, you have to replenish your reserves.
4. Use sunscreen
If possible, avoid direct sun contact and times when the sun is at its highest. Rather walk in the shade and stay there. Put a hat on your baby in the sling. Preferably one with a ribbon so that it doesn't come off your head. The legs and arms must also be protected from the sun.
5. Skin to skin - better not
Avoid direct skin contact if possible. Dress your child in a thin bodysuit or use a thin cloth between you and your baby to prevent direct heat transfer.
6. Beautiful carrying on the back
If your child is a bit older, you can ideally carry it on your back. For example, you can use the "Wrap Cross Back Carrier" binding. Carrying it on your back is more comfortable and doesn't make you sweat as quickly.
We hope that you will have an unforgettable summer with your child! Please share your experiences and pictures of your summer with the Sandiia towels with us. We look forward to feedback!
