This is what your baby wears under the carrier in summer
The sun is finally shining and you can go outside with your baby or toddler. It's practical and stylish in the baby carrier from sandiia®. We have a few tips to make carrying your baby in the carrier more comfortable in summer.
1. Natural materials
Because our Sandiia® baby carriers are made of pure organic cotton, they have excellent ventilation, elasticity and stability. Perfect for temperatures above 26°C.
2. Less is more
Since you are wearing additional fabric on your body when wearing a baby carrier, the rest of your clothing should be comfortable, short and breathable. And that is how you dress your child. The best fabrics for hot weather are cotton and linen. Avoid thick and layered clothing and synthetic fibers such as polyester or acrylic.
3rd Water March
Never forget to take a water bottle with you. For you and your child. If you are still breastfeeding, breastfeed your baby more often so that it gets enough fluids. You also need to replenish your reserves accordingly.
4. Use sunscreen
If possible, avoid direct contact with the sun and avoid times when the sun is at its highest. It is better to walk in the shade and stay there. Put a hat on your baby when you are in the carrier. Preferably one with a ribbon so that it does not come off the head. The legs and arms must also be protected from the sun.
5. Skin to skin - better not
Avoid direct skin contact if possible. Dress your child in a thin bodysuit or use a thin cloth between you and your baby to prevent direct heat transfer.
6. Beautiful carrying on the back
If your child is a little older, you can ideally carry him or her on your back. Carrying him or her on your back is more comfortable and you won't sweat as quickly.
We hope you have an unforgettable summer with your child! Share your experiences and pictures of your summer with the Sandiia baby carriers with us. We look forward to your feedback!
